Sailwave User Group

The Sailwave User Group (SUG) is a Yahoo Group set up by Simon Smith of Burghfield Sailing Club. The discussion tends to take place in English but there are thousands of members so please do feel free to post queries in other Languages.

There are a number of ways to access the SUG.

For email-only access (like a mailing list) you do *not* have to register with Yahoo. Just send an email (any subject and content) to:-

You can then start responding to posts and posting your own queries. Send queries to the group by posting an email to:- Attachments are permitted. Note that emails to the group are bounced if you don't send them on the same account that you joined with. If you need your email details changed, send a note to colin@sailwave.com or register ewith Yahoo and update your membership details.

If you would like to browse the SUG interactively you need to register a Yahoo ID (if you don't have one) and then you need to join the group by clicking the "Join Group" button. The URL of the group is:-

Sailwave support forum at Yachts and Yachting

Yachts and Yaching kindly host a Sailwave support forum on their website. You need to register with Y&Y to use it. Some users prefer this more traditional forum platform to the Yahoo based SUG.

Scandinavian Sailwave User Group

As the SUG above but discussion tends to take place in Skandinavian languages. Use these email addresses and links:-

Other non-English language user groups

If you have set up a Sailwave discussion/support group, please let me know so that I can link to it from here. Alternatively if you would like me to set up a non-Engligh language Yahoo group for you, please send an email to:-

Email the author

You can get support by emailing me, but the response time will probably be far quicker using one of the above methods - Sailwave is a hobby and I have a huge normal workload.

If you require hands-on support during an event please contact me - a deal can usualy be made such that I can be on the end of a phone or at the event itself to help with the scoring or oversee it and provide training etc.
